Fall Semester FUN!

Fall is by far my favorite season, so since Halloween and thanksgiving have come along i have really wanted to get decorations. I looked up homemade Halloween decorations online and i made some ghosts and pumpkins for the curtains and Hans and i made some other cool things, it was fun!

Hans started Volleyball about a month ago and he is loving it! Him and his team are really good and they have a lot of fun. (he's #10)

We have been hanging out with our friends Scott and Leann a lot. We like to watch movies, play games and we have carved pumpkins and frosted sugar cookies for Halloween!

Unfortunately the managers put a note on our door that said we weren't allowed to have anything outside our door. So we brought them inside and they molded and we had to throw them away, but we have been having a lot of fun!

Here are some pictures of our Apartment!

After we got married, we spent 2 nights in a hotel in vancouver and opened presents at my Grandma and Grandpa Rays house with some of Hans' family.

We then headed down to his sister in law's parents cabin in Bass Lake California, we got there pretty late and to our suprise we found it all fixed up with food in the refrigerator and the bedroom decorated. We stayed inside a lot during the week because it was so hot outside! I had never experienced such heat before. We watched a few movies while we were there and ate lots of good food.We also went down to the little town there and walked through the stores and the farmers market. we drove their golf cart around a few times and went down to the lake. We also attempted to bring the Kayaks down and found that they were too heavy and we couldn't get them on the golf cart. Instead we came back to the cabin and took a cold shower in our swimming suits and layed underneath the fan, haha.

That friday, we drove to his house in california to get ready for the next reception! When we got to his house there was lots to be done, so we got to work and set up everything for the next day. Saturday was more preparation and then the reception was that night! Everything turned out great and it felt nice to have the support of so many people.

On Monday of the next week we went to see the seqouia redwoods (the huge trees) which was a lot of fun, and then we went to boomers (an arcade place) we played mini glof there and arcade games and then we came back to his house and spent 1 more night there.

The next day we were off to Universal Studios! It wasn't too long of a drive, but we got there a little later than we had thought and our plan was to go to the la Brea Tar Pits. We got to "the pits" at 6 and they had closed at 5.... it was a little dissapointing to me. So, instead of going to the Tar Pits we found an art museum right next to it and took some pictures by some really weird art sculptures, and then we went into the museum. The 2 times we have been to museums since we have been together, we have gone close to closing time, and we have gotten in for free, so i would recommend that. So we went in and looked around in the museum. It was really cool but really weird too.

The next day we got up earlier and went to the Tar Pits, they had a cool museum and a video to watch. My favorite part was seeing the turtles and fish in the atrium that was in the middle of the museum.

After the Tar Pits we headed to Universal Studios. We went on the studio tour and a bunch of different attractions that were inside. It was a lot of walking and we got really tired, especially me. I had to keep telling Hans to walk slower because i couldn't keep up, im pretty sure it's because his legs are just a little bit longer than mine! When we got back to the hotel we were so tired and I called and had dinner delivered. Hans laughed when i told him that was my favorite part of the day :)
The next day we were headed to the grand Canyon and then to Colorado, we drove all day and stayed overnight in a hotel. we woke up nice and early and went to the grand Canyon, it was fantastic! we looked around for a while and then we got right back in the car for a long drive. We got to my house in Colorado at almost 12:00 and we went right to bed! The next day we got up and went to Camerons football scrimage, he is so cute in his football outfit and he is the best on his team, at least that's what i think.

After the scrimage we got ready for the reception, which was more work, but by now we had it down, we knew exactly what to do, haha. The reception went really well, we had it in a clubhouse and it looked really nice and my mom decorated very well (im so glad i have such a creative mom). My favorite part was the cheesecake, i loved it. After we got home from that we came back to the house and opened presents, which was fun, and fun for everyone to watch too :) the next day we went to church with my family and hung out. on monday we got up early and left by 6 so we could get to our apartment in time to check in.

We got to our apartment just in time to check in, we got our key and we went to check it out. we found a cute little cozy apartment waiting for us. we started bringing our stuff up with no problems at first but the fact that our apartment is on the third floor finally got to us and we started feeling it. Our bodies started wondering if we could get oxygen to our lungs fast enough........ After we unloaded our first load, we had to go get Hans' stuff that he had left here (suprisingly he had more stuff than me.... weird) and another trip up and down too many stairs.
We had a makeshift dinner that first night from KFC. There were boxes everywhere, and even though we were really sweaty and smelly we couldn't take a shower because we didn't have a shower curtain, and everything in rexburg closes way too early.

So we went to bed and i woke up the next morning to find that Hans had gone down to the "free stuff" pile in our apartment complex and brought up a butterfly shower curtain, and a trash can. He was very proud of that. For the next week and a half or so we just tried to fix up the apartment and get everything done that we needed to until school started.

Ever since school has been started we have been busy with homework, church activities, and lots of other things going on. I have had so much homework, more than Hans, which has surprised me. Hans is really good at helping me not be stressed out.

Some exciting things that have happened; Hans started volleyball, i got an 87 on my first anatomy exam, and we got to go down and see Aunt Brittany and Uncle Jimmy's sealing to Avery, which was a lot of fun. Other than that we have just been doing homework, hanging out with people from the ward and other friends, and enjoying the married life!

It's time for a blog!

So i have been told that you are not "officially" married until you have started a blog, so i started one :) i don't know anything about how to work this so we'll see how it goes. I should put some pictures on of the married life since we have been at school, but we haven't been very good at taking pictures. In fact, im pretty sure we haven't taken any pictures since we have been here at school. Im going to work on that, haha and then i will get them on.
