California Thanksgiving!

Last Friday we left for Thanksgiving in California! We went to visit and have a good time with Hans’ family.

We left on a Friday morning, very early. Becca (Hans’ cousin) and her husband Brad, came along with us! We drove all the way to Las Vegas and stayed there overnight with some of Becca and Brad’s friends. We ate dinner and shopped, and I even got to try out a Snuggie for the first time! Pretty smart idea, if you ask me. But would I buy one?  No, probably not.

It felt nice to finally get to California after driving so far! We had a big welcome, and it was so good to see family! We had a lot of fun hanging out before Thanksgiving. We showed them Just Dance on our Wii…

We also celebrated 2 Birthdays! Russell’s (Hans’ brother) and Brads!

Here is Russell.

I wasn’t able to get a picture of Brad!

My sisters in law Stephanie, Anna, and I planned a baby shower last minute for Becca ( she is going to be having a little Boy!). It turned out really well and we had a lot of fun!

We had made all the boys go in a separate room during the party, because it was girls only… Curtis and brad walked through about halfway through looking like this..

They said “oh, just a couple of girls walking through!” in a high girly voice, haha. Creepers!

Oh and I got a cute picture of Curtis and Stephanie’s little girl Avery :)

love her!

Well, I didn’t get very many pictures of Thanksgiving on my own camera, but luckily I was able to get some of the pictures and videos that Jarom and Rachel took on their camera!

Here I am with cute baby Owen our newest nephew!

So Jarom and Rachel’s kids ( our nieces and nephews!). Have Just Dance for the Wii. They have gotten so good at it that they have it memorized without even having to look at the dancer! It’s so fun to watch them dance :)

Hans and most of his brothers can play the guitar. Hans didn’t  bring his guitar this time, but some of his other brothers played together :)

The day after Thanksgiving we took family pictures. Now I get to be a part of the family picture! It was a little chilly, but the pictures turned out really cute!

Jarom took come cute candid videos and pictures. Thanks Jarom! :) Here are some…

It was a great trip! We love spending time with family. We wish the fun would never end, and that we could be with our family all the time… but I guess we have to go back to reality……and the cold snow in Idaho.

Not very exciting. But….

Here are some things from my last post until now.

We haven’t done really anything exciting in the past week.  But, here are some things that we have been doing… or more me.

I have made SO many meals. I don’t really like to cook, yeah yeah, I know I’ve said that about a million times. So this is something big to report on!  This is probably the most cooking I have done… EVER! It actually hasn’t been that bad, and the only reason I have been doing it is because I have had A TON of time on my hands, like almost all day every day.

I mean what do you do when you are all done with school, and only have a part time job? Well, I’ll tell you that I’m going to find a full time job ASAP, so I can be busy, and so we can start having enough money to pay off our school loans!

Anyways, I have made chili, chicken pot pie, spaghetti, Navajo tacos, chicken and rice casserole, Hawaiian haystacks, enchiladas, and more!

Enchiladas..

Hans is busy all the time so he appreciates me making meals, so he doesn’t have to worry about what to eat!

He knows not to get used to this though… haha. I don’t know how long this will last :)

I have been getting creative and looking up thanksgiving snacks online. Hans thought this one was weird..

004

005

They are supposed to be like cornucopias…  we still ate them. I kinda just did it for the cuteness factor… ha. I also made apple pie dip and cheesecake, yum!

A while back I made a yarn wreath for myself. I found a good deal at Goodwill and few days ago and I decided to make some more Wreaths! I decided to make them for my Sister’s in law. ( I think that’s how you say it?) you get the point.

Here they are

Ok enough of my boring stuff. We are headed to California in TWO days! Hallelujah.

We are so ready to get out of here.

Thanksgiving here we come.

Some Things…

A few things…

During the last week or so, we got a calling! Yes, a calling together. We are the temple coordinators… easy enough right?

I started my job and I love it! I do a lot of things, and I feel like I have had to absorb so much information, but it’s great! Medical Assistants can do so much. More offices now are looking for Medical Assistants because of the variety of things that they can do. Including things from nursing and assisting the doctor, to receptionist things, and medical billing. So I feel very good about my decision, and if you are wondering if I will ever go on to be an RN, the answer is NO! Unless, I want to get paid a little more ( but I don’t think the difference is significant enough). right now I took the job, that used to be worked by a nurse!

Anyways, my job was supposed to be part time, but because of the needs of other offices, I have gotten at least double the hours I originally thought, so things are great :) Plus I love giving shots and I have given about a million flu shots! ( I am told almost every time “oh! I didn’t even feel that!”.. makes me feel good ) Funny thing is, I haven’t gotten a flu shot myself…

Hans is still doing so well! He always gets  A’s on all his assignments and tests, and he is still working really hard!

We got a new game for our Wii. Just dance 2! it is so fun! It is what we do to exercise….. because we don’t :) haha

003

I have also been cooking more! *gasp*! I have had more time, and on select nights I have made some good dinners :)

One of the nights though, I was sprinkling some salt on my dinner, and the top of the container came off! Hans thought it was funny, so he took a picture. It wasn’t funny then, but I guess now it is!

009

We are going to California for Thanksgiving, yay!  For Christmas we are going to Colorado! I will actually be there for 3 weeks! Hans will only be there for 2, because he is going on a trip with his class. And, we are flying this time, yay!
