Thanksgiving

We are finally home!

We were in California al last week for thanksgiving, and we had a great time! The drive home is always the worst, it’s so sad to have to leave family, and then having to drive home for 16 hours, only to be welcomed home with work and school …. but that’s life I guess!

We had an amazing week! Filled with playing games, talking, watching movies, shopping, and of course, eating good food!

On our way home we had some car problems. I can’t say it was completely unexpected. about 4 hours away from Hans’ parents house, our car started sputtering, and it kept getting worse, so we decided to stop, because we were afraid it would break down. So we got a hotel for the night, Anna, Hans’ sister was with us too :) As soon as we got to the hotel, we got out of the car and locked our keys in the car. Luckily we were able to have a locksmith come late at night to get the keys out for us for $40, so it wasn’t too bad!

At first I was so frustrated! but it actually was really fun to be able to stay in a hotel for the night, order pizza, drink hot chocolate, and watch some T.V. ! Hans took the car in to the one place he could find that was open on Saturday, and it did have to have some repairs….. $320 later we were back on the road again….. I’m just glad it didn’t break down! We drove another 4 hours to St George yesterday and stayed with family ( Jarom and Rachel ) for another night, and we drove the last 7 hours today! Now we are home, and back to reality! life is an adventure!
