So glad it’s Friday!

Here are some things from this week.

In an effort to eliminate stress in my life right now, I decided it was best to cancel our subscription to the paper.

Aside from not having very much time to coupon lately, it has been difficult to coupon here in Idaho anyway. the items I want to buy for cheap are gone by the time I get there most of the time, and the stores are getting more and more strict about their coupon policies.

Maybe things will get better after the holidays are over and I will subscribe to the paper again. But for now I’m going to take a little break!

Of course, I will still try to be frugal, but maybe not in the way of coupons :)

I decided to be ambitious when I got home from work at 6 one day ( which was early for me, sad….) I felt like I had a lot of time on my hands so I made homemade bread bowls and white chicken chili. They turned out really good, and Hans liked them a lot! Not worth the work though, I always think things taste better when someone else makes them… haha

My husband is so great and he brings me lunch at work everyday, and sometimes we take silly pictures together :)

Frugal Friday

Alright ladies and (possibly) gentlemen…. The last two Fridays we were traveling, so I skipped Frugal Friday! So here we go for today!

So… This year, I told Hans that I wanted a big..er Christmas tree. for the past 2 years we have always just used our little 4 ft tree, which was always fine, since we ended up spending more of the month at my families house. But this year the majority of the month we will be spending at our own house, so I wanted it to feel a little more like Christmas.

Once I saw this ad…

I knew it was meant to be!

a 6ft prelit Christmas tree for $25?! we will take it!

So after 9 o’clock on one of the nights this week, after school and work, we took our hungry and tired selves to the store to buy the tree.

We bought it and set it up, plugged it in and….

One of the strands was out! Dang it all!!

So we took it back to the store…. LAME.

But, look at the cute flowers I found for 90% off, such a good deal!

Thanksgiving

We are finally home!

We were in California al last week for thanksgiving, and we had a great time! The drive home is always the worst, it’s so sad to have to leave family, and then having to drive home for 16 hours, only to be welcomed home with work and school …. but that’s life I guess!

We had an amazing week! Filled with playing games, talking, watching movies, shopping, and of course, eating good food!

I did take some pictures…. of course :) so here they all are.

On our way home we had some car problems. I can’t say it was completely unexpected. about 4 hours away from Hans’ parents house, our car started sputtering, and it kept getting worse, so we decided to stop, because we were afraid it would break down. So we got a hotel for the night, Anna, Hans’ sister was with us too :) As soon as we got to the hotel, we got out of the car and locked our keys in the car. Luckily we were able to have a locksmith come late at night to get the keys out for us for $40, so it wasn’t too bad!

At first I was so frustrated! but it actually was really fun to be able to stay in a hotel for the night, order pizza, drink hot chocolate, and watch some T.V. ! Hans took the car in to the one place he could find that was open on Saturday, and it did have to have some repairs….. $320 later we were back on the road again….. I’m just glad it didn’t break down! We drove another 4 hours to St George yesterday and stayed with family ( Jarom and Rachel ) for another night, and we drove the last 7 hours today! Now we are home, and back to reality! life is an adventure!

Look at all the papers we accumulated while we were gone! Yes there are papers in that Ross bag :)

Traveling

It’s Thanksgiving time, which means we have been doing some traveling. I don’t particularly like traveling, driving in a car for so long isn’t that enjoyable, but the being with family part, sure is great!

I’m officially obsessed with Instagram, So I have been taking a lot of pictures, which I already did before, so when I say a lot, I really mean A LOT.

So, here are a lot of pictures that make traveling seem a lot more enjoyable than it actually is :)
