We arrived in Colorado late on Thursday night the 20th of December! That weekend was packed full of Christmas goodness!
On Saturday we went to our traditional meal. My parents pick a mystery restaurant and we try to guess the restaurant before we get there. This time we had breakfast at a Day diner and it was delicious! Sadly I only got this picture of Hans’ breakfast burrito.
After breakfast, we headed to the mall to see Santa and get a picture with him!- also a tradition :)
Here is a picture of my mom, my sister, and I doing each others hair before we left :)
and here are some picture of us in line waiting for Santa at the mall
On Sunday we went to church and then we had our tradition of a raclett dinner! So good!

Getting ready for the dinner after church… with Santa aprons of course!
The dinner
On Christmas eve we had our white elephant gift exchange. The gift of choice was “the perfect man” it is a stuffed toy that when you press it is says all the same things a perfect man would say- hilarious! I have to say Hans does say most of those things… ;) last year the gift of choice was the perfect woman. We love the Garvins and the gifts they bring! :)
We also had fun with the bells- we’re not always the best at getting the songs right, but it’s still a lot of fun :)
And of course we acted out the nativity…. well the kids did. I’m glad to say that I can just sit and watch it now, and not have to participate :)
We opened our one present that night- pajamas of course!
Christmas day was very relaxing! We opened presents and since it had snowed on Christmas eve ( how cool!) We went hooky bobbing ( what we called it when we had fun in the snow in Oregon) with the neighbors and had a ton of fun!
Skyler sent us some cool gifts from New York :)
We also made gingerbread houses that night with the neighbors
This is mine :)
that week, after Christmas, we did a lot of hanging out, going to movies, playing games and just being together!

Me, as a marshmellow… it was so cold!
After everything that has happen, it was nice to spend time relaxing and having fun with family! We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
